* Screen Size: The size does matter! You want to make sure you are aware of what you are looking for with your e-book reader. Those with smaller screens can be annoying for the use of reading. Many E-book reader comes with 10" but some companies are working on bigger and smaller screen sizes. You want to make sure you feel comfortable with the size earlier before purchasing an e-book reader.
* Portability: why would someone want to buy an ebook reader that is not portable? The whole point of buying a reader is to be able to carry it around with you during your journeys and in your daily life.
* Battery life: an ebook reader that requires you to recharge it each and every day is such trouble. You have to make sure you get an ebook reader that endures you a few days between battery recharges.
* Format of file: a lot of e-book readers come with their own copyrighted file formats. While this is not a deal breaker, you have to make sure you can convert your PDF files to those formats so you can read them on your reader.
* Selection of the Book: the main factor of them all. Who would want to buy an ebook reader if one can't find books to put on it. Companies such as Amazon and Sony provide you with the chance to buy books straight from them. But not every ebook reader comes with its own store.

Purchasing an ebook reader is very similar to buying a notebook. Who would want to spend hundreds of dollars on a gizmo that is useless. But if you do your due diligence, you can get an e-book reader that aids you read more, learn more, and save the environment in the process.
